How to get to the Village of Sheldon, which lies between Buxton and Bakewell.

From Manchester :-

Take the M60 to Stockport and then take the A6 and follow signs to Buxton. From Buxton, continue on the A6 towards Bakewell and you will see signs for Ashton-in-the-Water. Just after that there is a small white sign for Sheldon .Turn right here and then follow the next small white sign to Sheldon, turning right again.We are the fourth house on the right. It is set back behind tall conifers.

From Bakewell:-

Follow signs towards Buxton on the A6. About 2 miles outside of Bakewell you will pass by Ashton-in-the-water on the right and immediately on the left is a small white sign for Sheldon.Turn Left here.
Follow the road up the hill and turn right at the next small white sign for Sheldon.
We are the fourth house on the right. It is set back behind tall conifers.

NB. There is very limited mobile reception at the Retreat so it is unlikely that we would be able to help guide you to us when you are trying to find us once you are in the area. If this is the case and you are struggling once you get into Sheldon, if the Cock and Pullet is open, they will most likely be able to point you to which house we are( we are only over the road!)

If the Cock and Pullet is on your right, we are about 100m down the road (downhill) on the left.
